[edit] Page moved

Moved to "The Flag on High", because "Horst Wessel Lied" was an unofficial name, and gives a rather confusing sense to English readers. Sherurcij 06:53, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

I requested that the page be moved back. "Horst Wessel Lied" is the primary name, as far as I know, and "The Flag on High" is the translation for an alternate name. There's no need to worry about confusing English readers; the new header template includes an excerpt from Wikipedia's article, which makes it clear that the name is German. // Pathoschild (editor / talk) 12:23, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
Horst Wessel Song would be better imho, if you wanted to go with the HW version of the title, instead of the Flag. Sherurcij 12:26, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
Unless I'm mistaken, the de facto name of the song is "Horst Wessel Lied", regardless of it's official status. I've redirected the alternate titles point to this original name. We should always use the original or de facto names wherever possible, regardless of what we think of them. // Pathoschild (editor / talk) 12:33, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
I agree I always tend to follow the Wikipedia articles title for translations as they have usually hashed these things out a long time ago and Wikipedia uses Horst Wessel Lied--BirgitteSB 15:41, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
