--Different versions?--
Are there differing versions of this poem in print? I've followed my printed text exactly, but it varies very slightly from Ward's online version, for example using swat as the past tense of sweat. "Multiple of eye and wing" also makes more sense than "multiplex". However, if there are other versions around, perhaps somebody can clarify things.
- It seems there are different versions. I looked in the Home Book of Modern Verse, 2nd edition, 7th printing (1966), edited by Burton Egbert Stevenson, published by Holt, Rinehart and Winston. That version has "For the innmost sea...", "Multiplex" and "swat". Tom harrison 02:43, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- I changed 'multiple' to 'multiplex', so it matches the version listed above, but I have no real preference. Tom harrison 02:47, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
