User:75.215.251.45 questioned the license, and to this I can quote Ian Sullivan <sullivan@softwarefreedom.org>:
- Regarding wikisource and the GFDL, [Eben] has no problem with [Eben’s speeches] being there or under that license.
User:75.215.251.45 also converted real Unicode quotes (“”) to ASCII quotes (""). I see no reason for this. --193.11.177.69 05:46, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for clarifying the license, and sorry about the quote business -- I thought those were non-standard MS quotes (I'd forgotten about the Unicode versions). My mistake. --75.215.251.45 19:02, 17 May 2007 (UTC) (really 75.215.197.25 now, but I'm the same person as before.)
- If this is a transcript, what is the point of being able to edit it?
-
- The same as all the other texts on Wikisource? --193.11.177.69 23:27, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
User:24.28.84.26 changed the text to be better, but this is an exact transcript, not an original work. If a reference could be found to provide the information that User:24.28.84.26 wanted to add, which is a good and noble goal, this information should be in footnotes, within brackets [], or such. The text itself should not be altered. --193.11.177.69 03:07, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
