Angels are painted fair[edit]

Cited in Chapter ii:

"Angels are painted fair to look like her.
There's in her all that we believe of heav'n,
Amazing brightness, purity, and truth,
Eternal joy and everlasting love."

This seems to have originated from Venice Preserv'd. I am not sure if this is of interest, and if so, how it would be annotated in this text. --Gavin.collins (talk) 14:29, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
