Transcription infidelity?[edit]
This document was either scanned or inexpertly transcribed. Does anyone have access to a better copy, or a photographic copy of the original message before coding or after decoding in Washington? Patrick0Moran (talk) 02:27, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

- Here is a photocopy of the original telegram(8MB pdf) from the Truman Library. In a nutshell, fidelity of transcription looks ok to me on a quick perusal. Darrell Greenwood (talk) 21:32, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
Cleanup[edit]
This original source lacks a lot of words, mostly articles. That makes reading this text tiring and difficult. However most can be unabiguously restored. Would it be Ok to create a The Long Telegram (cleaned) page for this? First as a verbatim copy, so that the changes are easily viewed. —unsigned comment by TriTachionTertiary (talk) .
