I've removed the Project Gutenberg explanatory material. They provide an all or none option, and the latter suits our purposes better. I have added the note that it is "adapted" from their material. The word "adapted" is intended to show that we do not guarantee that our text is identical to theirs.

The text should be divided into separate pages. It currently has over 660kb, and that can be a problem for some browsers. Eclecticology 14:01, 3 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Could someone point me in the right direction for this question? I need an example or some help in getting all of w:John Muir's work from Guttenberg to wikisource. How does one do it? Is this a stupid question? Sveden 22:32, 9 August 2005 (UTC)

Separate works vs separate sections[edit]

I think all books in The Republic should be compiled as sections rather than separate works. For example, Book I should be moved from:

The_Republic_-_Book_I

to:

The_Republic/Book_I

If I don't hear objections, I'll do this in a few days. Antireconciler 19:28, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

Separate Headings for Chapters[edit]

The Republic is organized into books and chapters in part to facilitate use, the version here doesn't have those divisions making it very hard to find particular passages (you try to find a particular passage from a different translation in a section nearly 100 pages long then tell me it isn't necessary) 136.159.182.173 21:49, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

I agree. I would love to have a version with the standard section numbers, but I haven't been able to find one on-line. --209.129.64.1 17:17, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
