Purpose[edit]
This template enables linking from The Encyclopedia Americana (1920) entries to other Americana entries. This template links absolutely, so it can be used anywhere, including in the Page: namespace.

Different link[edit]
Where the underlying link is different from the text, a second variable can be added to override the displayed text:

No small caps[edit]
Where no small-caps is required, then that can be overridden:
{{Americana article link|Die Elixiere der Teufels|Die Elixiere des Teufels|nosc=yes}} gives: Die Elixiere der Teufels
