Purpose[edit]

This template formats text to imitate a {{smallrefs}} footnote on a djvu page. This is to be used in the unusual case where the footnote text was printed on a different page to its marker. The pseudo-footnote should be enclosed in <noinclude> tags on the page where the footnote text was printed, and the text should be duplicated in <includeonly> and <ref> tags at the point where the footnote marker occurs.

To avoid creating duplicate source, the actual footnote text can be transcluded from a common convenient location—see Page:The Way of a Virgin.djvu/77 and Page:The Way of a Virgin.djvu/78 for an example where this is done from the "Page talk" namespace.
