To note that while this link format still exists, there is a preference for using the wikipedia = wp link parameter that is in place in all of our header formats.

Usage

{{Wikipedia|Article title|Display title}}

• Article title is the name of the article on Wikipedia (optional)
• Display title is the text you want the link to say (optional)

If you don't specify an article title, it will link to the name of the page you use this template on. In the example above, the link is Wikipedia, since this page's name is Template:Wikipedia.

Placement of this template usually would be within the Notes = field for the {{header}} and {{process header}} or the description = field for {{author}}.
