Brijmohan Deo, Raja of Kaiahandi; b, 1895; succeeded to gaddi, 1897; Educ, at Patna. Till recently the State was in charge of the Political Agent subject to the supervision of the Commissioner of Orissa. The ruling family belongs to the Nagvansi clan of Rajputs. Area of the State, 3,745 square miles; population, about 400,000; revenue, Rs. 1,11,000. The Raja is entitled to a salute of 9 guns. Address: Kalahandi, Sambalpur, Bengal.
