Naya Gopal Sarkar, B.A., Rai Bahadur (1894), Extra Assistant Commissioner, Chanda; b. 1854; educ: Hindu School, Presidency College, and General Assembly’s Institute, Calcutta; joined service in the Foreign Branch, Government of India, 1883; accompanied the Durand Mission to Kabul, 1893; appointed Extra Assistant Commissioner and posted to the C.P. 1900.
