Plyre Lal, Rai Bahadur (1893); b. 1838; educ: Government College, Delhi, and Agra College; joined Government service in the Educational Department and became Inspector of Schools; the first Indian in the Punjab that was appointed as Inspector of Schools; Fellow, Punjab University. Publications: Translations of Wheeler’s History of Imperial Assemblage, and Collier’s History of the British Empire; also several original works in Urdu. Address; Delhi, India.
