Rajeswara Mittra, B.A., A.M.I.C.E., K.I.H., Superintending Engineer, Jubbulpore; b. 1860; educ: Benares and Patna Colleges, and the Thomson Engineering College, Rurkee; passed B.A., 1880; passed the Engineering examination and won the Thomson prize, 1888; joined service as Assistant Engineer, 1883; worked in the Ajmere division and also on military works and roads in Rajaputana; transferred to eastern division, Central Provinces; appointed Under Secretary to Chief Commissioner, 1900; confirmed as Superintending Engineer, 1908; awarded K.I.H (2nd class), 1902; thanked by Government, 1894-1898; specially thanked for work during famine, by Sir A. Fraser; Chief Commissioner, Central Provinces; invited and awarded the Durbar Medal, 1903. Address: Jubbulpore, C.P., India.
