Sheppard, Hon’ble William Didsbury, C.I.E. (1910) I.C.S., Commissioner, Southern Division, Bombay, since 1911; M.L.C., Bombay, since 1913; 2nd s. of late John Edward Sheppard of Grasendale; educ: Hereford Cathedral School and New College, Oxford; joined service, 1884; First Assistant Collector, Bombay, 1886; served in Canara, Belgaum, Dharwar and Poona; became Political Agent of Berar, 1899-1900; and again from 1904-05; won a first class K-I-H Medal, 1900; Municipal Commissioner, Bombay, 1901-02; and again from 1905-10; m.
