Venugopal Chetty, Vengal, B.A., I.C.S., Madras; educ: Christian College, Madras; passed B.A., 1886; proceeded to England and joined Christ’s Collge, Cambridge; joined the I.C.S. as Assistant Collector, 1890; became Collector and District Magistrate, 1897; Sessions Judge, 1901. Publications: Inscriptions in Nellore (with Mr. Butterworth, I.C.S.). Address: Chingelput, Madras Presidency.
