Private Secretary to Duke of Cornwall and York during his Colonial tour, 1901; Member, Institute De Droit International, and Officier, Department Instruction Publique, France; Assistant Secretary to Duke of York during tour in the Colonies, 1901; Chief Editor of “Supplement to Encyclopaedia Britannica”, 1902; Extra Groom-in-Waiting to Emperor Edward VII, 1909-10; to Emperor George V, since 1910; attached to Emperor of Russia during his visit to England, 1909; holder of 1st class Russian Order of St. Stanislas; travelled extensively in Russia, Turkey, Austria and Egypt.
