The Midsummer Night

The Midsummer Night  (1851)  by Ludwig Tieck, translated by Mary C. Rumsey

The Midsummer Night, or Shakespeare and the Fairies (Die Sommernacht) was written in 1789, when Tieck was sixteen. It was first published in the Rheinisches Taschenbuch by Edward Bulow in 1851.
