KELLE, kĕl'le, Johann (1829—). A German philologist, born at Regensburg, and educated at Munich. In 1857 he was made professor of the German language and literature in the University of Prague. Jahrhunderts (1892); Ueber die Quelle von Ezzos Gesang von den Wundern Christi (1893); and his Speculum Ecclesiæ (1858).
