John Parsons Earwaker (1847-1895)

The death is announced, at Abergele, North Wales, of Mr. {{sc|John Parsons Earwaker, M.A. Oxon., an archæologist well known in Cheshire and North Wales. He was a member of the Society of Antiquaries, for which he was local hon. secretary, and also secretary of the Lancashire Records Society, and a constant contributor to the Chester Archæological Society, being formerly editor of the society's "Record and Papers." Mr. Earwaker wrote several works, including a history of East Cheshire and a valuable book on Roman Chester. At the time of his death he had nearly completed the history of St. Mary's parish, Chester.
