The World
by Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj, translated by Wikisource

Serbian English
Свет

Ала је леп
овај свет, –
онде поток,
онде цвет;
тамо њива,
овде сад;
ено сунца,
ево хлад;
тамо Дунав
злата пун,
онде трава,
овде жбун.
Славуј пева,[1]
не знам гди, –
овде срце,
овде ти!

World

How nice is
this world around, -
here's a meadow,[2][3]
flowers abound;[3]
there's a field,[3]
and there a glade;[3]
there is sun,
and here a shade;
There is Danube
with gold laden,
there is grass,
and here a garden.[4]
A nightingale[1]
sings its tune.[5]
Here's my heart,
and here are you.

[edit] Notes
