Holy Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith No. 12342 20th January 1892 Rome
To the Apostolic Delegate H. E. Archbishop A. Bonetti Constantinople
Your Excellency,
Your letter has arrived in the department responsible. Since, owing to the complexity of the problem concerning the request of Metropolitan Theodosius to pass with his Macedonian flock into Union, the College of Cardinals has decided to study the question more fundamentally, we advise You not ta take any steps to meet the Metropolitan and to leave everything to time. If the deed is in God's will, it will never be too late to be fulfilled.
Cardinal Ramponi
