Introduction[edit]

נעלמו ממנו זה וזה;
חייב;

English Translation[edit]

If one became impure in the Courtyard,
and the impurity became unknown to him, [but] he remembered [about] the Temple,
[or] the Temple became unknown to him, [but] he remembered the impurity,
[or else] both this and that became unknown to him;
[if] he prostrated or waited long enough to prostrate,
or he came [to the exit] by the long[er] way –
He is liable;
[if he came to the exit] by the short[er] way –
He is exempt.
This is a positive commandment in the Temple that one is not liable for.
