I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.
Welcome to my userpage; I'm driven to adding a number of texts to Wikisource. The bulk of my additions fall along two lines, idealistic texts generally dealing with pre-Nicene Christian interpretation of the message of Jesus Christ and how we Christians should live in the world; and those texts of a more "sinister" nature - for example the complete works of Author:Osama bin Laden. I don't support the messages in the texts, but am reminded of the words of Patton; "Rommel, you magnificent bastard, I read your book!". We cannot hope to defeat an enemy we cannot understand, and a media and government intent on making sure that the public never hears the evildoer's side of the story is doing a disservice to their population. I'm not spreading propaganda, or hoping that wayward Muslim youths find these texts -- rather I'm hoping that middle-class white North Americans take the time to read them, and hopefully gain a little bit of insight into what makes men like UBL tick.
