1911 Encyclopedia Britannica complete set of scanned pages.

I have two ScanSet demos here. Please do not use this extension in the main namespace yet, there are problems with the source material which have to be fixed first.

  • /ScanSet TIFF demo -- Complete set of pages, looks very pretty if you have AlternaTIFF installed. Otherwise it may not work at all - the page may appear to load, but there will be no image. I found QuickTime's TIFF display to be slow and crashy. Visit the US Patent Office for more options.
  • /ScanSet PNG demo -- First volume only. Due to the lack of antialiased scaled images, it looks uniformly bad in all major browsers, but at least it works.
