About Me:

As a Wikisource Contributor

I have been a long time contributor to Wikisource. Though, to be honest, this has occurred with several starts and stops. My primary interest is in the writings of Jewish believers in Jesus, commonly called either Messianic-Jews, or Hebrew-Christians. As such a good majority of my contributions are either books by Messianic-Jews, or books which showcase the entwined Jewishness of the Christian faith, written either by Jews or Gentiles. Beyond this, I also have an interest in preserving the writings of Jews and Christians of antiquity, so I can often be seen editing more general Jewish and Christian works as well. What is my motivation for doing this? In my view, if all the facts where laid on a (rather large) table and the time was taken to pore over them they would point directly to Yeshua (Jesus) as Messiah.

Beyond this, I occasionally upload upload, edit, and wikify some classic works of literature to break the monotony, such as The Island of Doctor Moreau, one of my first contributions, which I uploaded from Project Gutenberg. I am a strong proponent of accuracy and fidelity of texts. If the texts stored here are not accurate, then we are all wasting our time.

As a Real Life Person

Professionally, I'm a computer consultant. Historically, I have done a lot of networking both at the LAN and WAN level for small and medium sized businesses. I am an OpenSource software advocate, constantly telling companies the benefit of switching (at least servers) to Linux, and pushing OpenOffice.org as a solution to existing Office Software needs. Indeed I've replaced several NT/2k server environments with Linux (Red Had, and more recently Ubuntu) servers running Samba in the past several years than I can shake a stick at.

My hobbies include reading, collecting old books, and the occasional fishing trip. I enjoy science fiction, especially the Stargate mythos.
