Hello, Ambassador Neelix, and welcome to Wikisource! Thank you for joining the project. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Welcome +1[edit]

Neelix, it was very nice to meet you at the GLAMWiki Boot Camp yesterday! I hope you come back to Wikisource from time-to-time and please get in touch. I find it interesting that you have a different account here. Is this edit from several years ago not yours or the accounts just aren't unified? --Doug.(talk contribs) 23:45, 28 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yes, I went to a lot of work to get the SUL: "Doug" globally. In all likelihood you will not be able change the name to one that has copyright significant edits (we used to say GFDL significant so maybe the proper phrase is "cc-significant", not sure). So, you should make a map for both usernames for edits by you and edits by others. Unify your names as soon as possible to avoid having them forcibly renamed under the upcoming change but you want to do a quick evaluation and see if there is any point to trying for Neelix because that account is blocked on sv.wp, I believe. If you can usurp it there and anywhere else the account exists but is not yours, then you are home free. The only problem will be that on projects where both Neelix and Ambassador Neelix have edits, even if they are both yours, you will most likely have to keep them separate as I still don't believe accounts can be merged (that's something that's been asked for for years but last I checked was not available, it's been a while though). Let me know if you have more questions.--Doug.(talk contribs) 20:43, 6 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
