Hello, FemVoice, welcome to Wikisource! Thanks for your interest in the project; we hope you'll enjoy the community and your work here. If you need help, see our help pages (especially Adding texts and Wikisource's style guide). You can discuss or ask questions from the community in general at the Scriptorium. The Community Portal lists tasks you can help with if you wish. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me on my talk page.

Please feel at ease changing the The Star-Spangled Banner. It is not a big deal at all. It might be useful to have a few versions disambiguated by date. I have not done much research into it however, and you should feel free to handle how you feel is best. Don't worry about finding the true and perfect version. It doesn't exist for many texts. The more you look into these things, the more variations you find. Work finding what you believe are significant versions and we may end up hosting all of them. If you are uncomfortable setting this up just list the links on the talk page with why each is significant and the date it was published. Or if that is too much work, you can just alter the current version to your favorite and someone will deal with the larger issue eventually.--BirgitteSB 03:56, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

appreciation[edit]

It is probably unlikely that you will receive this comment, some four years later, but I feel compelled to air my appreciation. Your discussion on variants of The Star-spangled Banner seems thorough and objective, I feel that others will make good use of it.
