Hamas Covenant[edit]

As far as I can tell, it is. I don't have the time (or exactly the desire) to do too much digging, but what I did find indicates that Hamas did write an English version of the Covenant (so we don't have to worry about translator's copyright). The only question is whether or not the United States would honor a Hamas copyright. I can't see the U.S. doing such a thing (but also I would imagine Hamas would want its covenant distributed all over the place), so if the version we have is the English version Hamas wrote, I would hazard a guess that the text is free. Note, though, that I am no expert on copyright law, so I might be blazenly wrong here.—Zhaladshar (Talk) 17:09, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Zhaladshar for your answer. For me, any recent content is protected by copyrights laws. I will ask in the Scriptorium to get more reactions. Kelson 20:01, 31 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
