NJ citations[edit]

Could you add some NJ citations to the tool? It works pretty much perfectly on federal cases, but currently only wikifies links to the Atlantic Reporter when I run state cases through it.

Cases go like this:

  • # N.J. #
  • # N.J. Super. #

And the statutes look like:

  • N.J.S.A. #

Excellent test case[edit]

I stumbled upon this case with an appendix with a long list of state statutory references. I ran the tool on it, so you can see what worked and what didn't. NJ citations not working[edit]

U.S. Constitution citations[edit]

Could you add constitutional citations to the tool?

  • "Article *" = [[Constitution of the United States of America#Article *]]
  • "First Amendment" = [[United States Bill of Rights|First Amendment]]
  • ..."* Amendment" where * = First-Tenth = [[United States Bill of Rights|* Amendment]]
  • "Eleventh Amendment" = [[Additional amendments to the United States Constitution#Amendment XI|Eleventh Amendment]]
  • "* Amendment" where * = Eleventh-Twenty-seventh[[Additional amendments to the United States Constitution#Amendment [* in roman numerals]|* Amendment]]

The trouble is determining when "Article *" is referring to the U.S. Constitution. For example, here Article 3 refers to the Warsaw Convention. I am trying to figure out a reliable way to identify a citation to an article/amendment in the U.S. Constitution. stephen (talk) 04:34, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That's definitely a tricky problem with the articles, but when someone says "First Amendment" you know they're referring to the Bill of Rights. I have to admit, this may have just been a terrible idea on my part. It's getting buggy for me now because some cases refer to statutory amendments, like the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990, and they end up with a broken link attempt from the tool. Non-codified statutes and regulations[edit]

Could you add these formats for non-codified statutes and regulations?

  • Federal Register: # Fed. Reg. #
  • Statutes at Large: # Stat. #
  • Public Laws: P.L. #-# (these always have two numbers with a dash in between, e.g. "P.L. 90-148")
