Qurán[edit]

Is this your own translation or is it someone else's translation? If it is not your translation, you must provide information of who did the translation, when it was translated, and show that it is not under copyright. Translations that are under copyright cannot be added on Wikisource.

But also note that we already have several translations of the Qur'an here. If this is a duplicate, it may not be needed. --EncycloPetey (talk) 20:03, 24 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Answer[edit]

Thank you for your clarification EncycloPetey. the Quran has one and only one translation, and it can't be copyrighted. I find this translation in many Quran books, and I compared with internet translation --Touzrimounir (talk) 07:42, 25 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is not true. There is more than one translation into English, and we have several here already. Any translation can be copyrighted. Works posted to Wikisource without information about their source and copyright status are routinely deleted. See Help:Copyright for more information. --EncycloPetey (talk) 15:45, 25 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
