Hello Yohan euan o4, welcome to Wikisource! Thanks for your interest in the project; we hope you'll enjoy the community and your work here.

You'll find an (incomplete) index of our works listed at Wikisource:Works, although for very broad categories like poetry you may wish to look at the categories like Category:Poems instead.

Please take a glance at our help pages (especially Adding texts and Wikisource's style guide). Most questions and discussions about the community are in the Scriptorium.

The Community Portal lists tasks you can help with if you wish. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me on my talk page! FloNight 19:13, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Are you working off an electronic image, or something closer to home? If you have the work as an image file, we should be looking to upload to Commons: and linking to it. Makes it others to play along. smiley -- billinghurst (talk) 23:23, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My source is Google Books, I trust that that's acceptable as a source but not suitable for uploading (the watermark, the condition that it won't be used commercially etc.) Other than that, it seems to be an exceedingly rare book (I'm interested in preserving and disseminating works related to Ulverston, and plan to write up this aswell); Oxford owns a copy, St. Mary's might but I doubt it, and the Holy Trinity is no longer in use. Thanks for the census work...is there a guide to the markup on Wikisource (I'm fairly new on this project)? Yohan euan o4 (talk) 17:55, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I will have a look at it later to see if we can grab and convert to DjVu. A quick look at Archive.org shows this Chronicles of the Town & Church of Ulverston.
Style guide has basics, though there are a number of shortcuts around. As a smaller community, the Scriptorium is an easy place to ask questions and get answers. Many of us are contactable and around, and more than happy to answer questions. -- billinghurst (talk) 23:46, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you (for the help and the additional text); if I have any particular queries I'll go over there. Yohan euan o4 (talk) 01:37, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
