FROM THE OFFICE OF
October 13, 1941.
MEMORANDUM FOR THE PRESIDENT:
Unless you instruct otherwise, I will change the code word in the letter from Maudson to Mayson. On Firday I will seal it, and deliver it to Hovde, with explicit instructions. He will leave by plane Monday or very soon thereafter.
I suggest the change because I fear that the word Maud may convey too much. Someone may know on what the Maud Committee is working.
