Good Intentions[edit]

I know everyone involved has good intentions, and I hope you will not be offended by the community discussions I have or will be beginning soon. Maintenance of the Month is a wonderful project, and you all do great work. This month I believe you just made some decisions that are not in accord with the greater community consensus. Deletion Discussion[edit]

Generally Deletions are discussed at Wikisource:Proposed deletions before being performed. An example would be the recent discussion on sister links where it was depreciated.) Depreciated DOES NOT EQUAL Delete. After the discussion at Wikisource:Scriptorium#Purpose_of_author_pages slows down, I plan to start a discussion at Wikisource:Proposed deletions on the templates recently deleted by this project. • I agree with the above statement of user Jeepday, that your project has "good intentions", but in my opinion this needs more discussion of unforeseen/unintended consequences. Especially how it might affect [1] and [2]. For example, this is a highly used template in wikipedia and may have unexpected consequences as i outlined here [[3]]. IMO, this is a fascinating topic and worthy of discussion especially by someone fluent in | wikicode. --206.248.165.102 22:36, 11 January 2013 (UTC) | talk[reply]
