"They have not chosen me," he said, by Emily Dickinson

"They have not chosen me," he said,
"But I have chosen them!"
Brave — Broken hearted statement —
Uttered in Bethlehem!

I could not have told it,
But since Jesus dared —
Sovereign! Know a Daisy
They dishonor shared!
