LUCCHESINI (LAURA GUIDICCIONI), lived at Sienna in 1601, and was of the same Family as John Guidiccioni, one of the first Italian Poets of the 16th Century.

Distinguished herself by her poetical talents, which she chiefly exerted in lyrical pieces. She excelled in versification, and from the variety of her knowledge deserves to be classed with people of learning. She composed also three pastorals to be set to music.
