MIDIAN. The Midianites, descendants of Midian, the son of Abraham and Keturah. They dwelt principally in the desert north of the peninsula of Arabia. Midian is mentioned but once in the Book of Mormon, in a quotation from the writings of Isaiah. (II Nephi, 20:26.)
