LOWNDES (RICHARD), bookseller in London, (1) Adjoyning to Ludgate [on Ludgate Hill]; (2) White Lyon in St. Paul's Churchyard; (3) White Lyon, Duck Lane near West Smithfield. [Arber, Term Catalogues, i. 557.] 1640-75. Took up his freedom September 26th, 1639 [Arber, iii. 688.] Dealt in miscellaneous literature. Amongst his publications was Francis Quarles' Barnabas and Boanerges. 1644.
