Hithpa. הסתרג to be provided witth girths, be strapped. Ned. 56b גבה על מסתרגת מטה אי if itt be, that mittah is a. couch, the straps of which are drawn over the frame &c.

סרגיד m. (סרג, with format. ) [formed in zig-zag,] key-ward. Y. Sabb. VIII, 11b bot., v. חף.
סרגל (Saf. of רגל) [to lead the writer,] to rule, draw lines. Y. Meg. I, 71d top בקנה מסרגלין (for writing Ta'fillin) you must draw lines with a reed; Treat. Sof'rim I, 1 בקנה שמסרגלין .. הלכה it is a Sinaitic tradition that we must rule with a reed (in writing sacred books). -- Part. pass. מסורגל; f. מסורגלת. Ib. (quot. in Tosaf. to Gitt. 6b וכ׳ מס׳ שאינה יריעה a sheet (in a scroll) which is not ruled is unlawful.

Sabb. 32a לס׳ שנמסר כמי as if given in charge of an officer (to be brought before court). Num.
