Ridley, (Sir) Matthew White (Bart.), 1s. Matthew White, of London, baronet. Balliol Coll., matric. 12 Oct., 1861, aged 19, scholar 1860-5, B.A. 1865; fellow All Souls' Coll. 1865-74, M.A. 1867, 3rd baronet, a student of the Inner Temple 1864, J.P. North Northumberland 1868-85, Lancashire (Blackpool division) 1886, under-secretary Home department 1878-80, and for Foreign affairs 1885, financial secretary to the Treasury 1885-6.
