Douglas, Charles, 2nd Duke of Dover and Queensberry, etc. Created D.C.L., 6 July, 1720; lord of the bed-chamber to George I. 1720, and to Frederick, Prince of Wales, 1761-3, vice-admiral 1722-30, keeper of the Great Seal 1761-3, and lord justice general 1763, all Scotland, P.C. 1726 (son of James, Duke of Dover and Queensberry), died s.p. 22 Oct., 1778.
