Asbury Park Press/1927/Stabbing Trial Opens
Stabbing Trial Opens. Jersey City, New Jersey; April 13, 1927 (Associated Press) When the Jury today took the case of Felix Szczesny, on trial for murder, the state did not ask for conviction in the first degree, as charged in the indictment. Assistant Prosecutor McMahon indicated that the stabbing to death of Felix Szczesny after a drunken quarrel was manslaughter if criminal at all. The prisoner's wife and seven children waited in court. Ocean county's new county judge, Arthur Gallagher, was on the bench with Judge Kinkead to observe Hudson practices.
