Member of the Institute of Naval Architects, 1877; Vice-President, Institute of Naval Architects. Member of Council, Institute of Marine Engineers. Author of many papers on Marine Engineering subjects, such as The Decay of Metals (with co-author William James Larke).[1] Member of the Committee of the International Maritime Conference (London).
