বাগান করিবার হুকুম।
আমি এক বাগান করিতে চাহি।
সাহেব কত বড় বাগান করিবেন ও কি২ গাছ রুপিবেন।
বাগান বিঘা দশেক ভূমি হবে আধা শাক সবুজি ও আধা ফুল ফলারি।
সে অতিবড় বাগান হবে। মালি জন দশ বারো না হইলে তাহার কার্য্য চলিবে না।
ভাল আমি লোক দিব কিন্তু আর কি২ চাহ।
কোদালি কুড়ালি দা খুন্তি পাসান কাস্ত্যা দড়ি ডালি এ সকল চাহি।
এথায় দেখ এই মাথা২ কেয়ারি কর এবং চুকা হালিম গজরা কোপি সলগ্রাম শলুফা পালঙ্গ পিড়িঙ্গ মূলা ও আর২ যত প্রকার বীজ মিলিবে সে সকল বুন।
ORDERS TO MAKE A GARDEN.
I want to make a garden.
How large will you make the garden, Sir? and what sort of trees will you plant?
The garden will be about ten bighas of ground, half kitchen garden, and half orchard and flower garden.
That will be a very large garden. It will never be managed without ten or twelve gardeners.
Well, I will give people. What else do you want?
Spades, hatchets, bill-hooks, spuds, weeding-knives, sickles, lines, and baskets. I want all these.
Look here. Make beds here from one end to the other, and sow sorrel, cresses, carrots, cabbages, turnips, fennel, beets, the edible medicago, radishes, and what else you can get.
ফেলাব। কিন্তু উহার বড় লতা চড়ে এত জায়গা কোথা পাইব।
কিছু ভাবনা নাই জায়গা ঢের আছে এখানে চাঙ্গি করি।
বাগানের ভিতরে এত জঙ্গল কেন কি জন্য এ কেয়ারি নিড়ান কর না।
সাহেব বড় কার্য্য আছে সব ফলের গাছ রুপিতে২ অবসর কিছু পাই না সে কারণ সকলি বন হইয়া গিয়াছে ।
কি২ গাছ রুপিয়াছ।
আম্র কাঁঠাল কামরাঙ্গা সফ্তালু তুত নেম্বু বাতাবি করঞ্চা ফলসা বাদাম আতা নেয়া ও পেয়ারা ও কত গণ্ডা ফুলের গাছ।
তুই সকলেতে মনােযোগ কর এ সকল নিড়া এমন বন দেখিতে পারি না।I will sow them; but their runners spread so far, where can we get room for them?
Don't trouble yourself about that, there is plenty of room. I will make a stage here for them.
What's the reason the garden is so foul? Why don't you weed these beds?
Sir, there is a great deal of work. We are constantly so employed in planting the fruit trees, that I have no leisure; that's the reason it is so foul.
What sort of trees have you planted?
Mangoe, jack, kamrunga, peach, mulberry, limes, shaddock, korinda, phulsa, almond, custard-apples, both the netted and the plain, guaya trees, and how many gundas of flower trees?
Take good care of all. Weed this. I cannot bear to see so many weeds.
