Late V. Rev. Reginald Walsh, O.P.

The tidings of the passing from this world on Thursday night of the Very Rev. Reginald Walsh, O.P., S.T.M., will have brought a sense of deep and personal loss to his Dominican brethren in Ireland and abroad, while a multitude of other friends, clerical and lay, will share their sorrow and render ungrudgingly their tribute of veneration and sympathy and prayer to one of the most learned and saintliest priests of modern Christendom. Father Walsh died at St. Mary's, Tallaght, Co. Dublin, in his 77th year, having been born in Dublin in 1855. His long life as priest, professor, novice-master, regent of studies, writer, and in the work of the ministry, was enhanced by the attraction of a singular saintly and lovable character.
