English: Henry Brewster Stanton (27 June 1805 – 14 January 1887) was a 19th century abolitionist and social activist.
Stanton was born at (Griswold) Preston, w:Connecticut, the son of Joseph Stanton and Susan M. Brewster. His wife, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, was also very much involved in social issues, including temperance, the abolition of slavery and, most especially, women's rights and female suffrage. The couple was married on 1 May 1840, and had seven children. Their wedding trip was spent in Europe where they attended the international anti-slavery convention in London, England.
