O 'ay that loof in mine, lass,

And swear on thy white hand, lass,

A slave to love’s unbounded sway,
He aft has wrought me metsie wae,
But now he is my deadly fae

There's monie a lass has broken my rest,
That for a blink ha'e lo'rd best,
But then art Queen within my breast,
For ever to remain

Dear lad, gin ye be leel and true,
Their's ane I like sae wee as you,
