Acland, (Hon.) John Barton Arundel Dyke, M.A. Christ Church, Oxon, member of the legislative council of New Zealand, practises before the supreme court at Canterbury, New Zealand, a student of Lincoln's Inn 25 April, 1846 (then aged 22), called to the bar 3 May, 1849 (5th son of Sir Thomas Dyke Acland, Bart, M.P., of Killerton, Devon); born 25 Nov., 1823; married 17 Jan., 1860, Emily Weddell, dau. of Rt. Rev. Henry John Chitty Harper, D.D., bishop of Christchurch, New Zealand, and has issue (see Foster's Baronetage).
