Byng, Hon. James Master Owen, vice-chairman of South-eastern Railway Company, J.P., D.L. Kent and Sussex, a student of the Middle Temple 1 Nov., 1849, called to the bar 7 June, 1852 (3rd son of Vice-Admiral George, 6th earl of Torrington, D.C.L.); born 20 July, 1818; married 5 Aug., 1856, Caroline Louisa, dau. of William Cook, Esq., of Roydon Hall, Kent (see Foster's Peerage).
