Dunnington-Jefferson, Joseph John, M.A., Trin. Coll., Camb., 1871, an Etonian, J.P. Yorks East and West Riding, capt. Yorkshire hussars since 1883, lieut. 1876–83, a student of the Inner Temple 28 Feb., 1868 (then aged 22), called to the bar 1 May, 1871 (eldest son of Rev. Joseph Dunnington, of Thicket Priory, Yorks); born 19 Nov., 1845; married 14 Sept., 1870, Emma Sarah, dau. of Thomas Butler Stoney, Esq., J.P., of Portland Park, co. Tipperary (see Foster's Baronetage, Vavasour).
