Griffits, James Olliff, Q.C., recorder of Reading since 1870, a member of the Oxford circuit, contested Great Marlow 1880, J.P. High Wycombe, a student of the Middle Temple 3 June, 1845, called to the bar 16 June, 1848, Q.C. 25 June, 1875, bencher 30 Jan., 1878 (6th son of John Griffits, of High Wycombe, Bucks); born 21 Feb., 1821; married 2ndly, 23 Dec., 1884, Jane, 3rd dau. of R. Whall Cooke, Esq., of Brighton.
